Blog Hop Party!
Friday, March 8, 2013
I have actually never done a give away before, so this is my very first one and I am very excited. Michelle Foster from the Quilting Gallery is hosting a "Beat the Winter Blues - Quilters Blog Hop Party", which I am very excited to participate in. If this is your first time visiting my blog, thanks so much for stopping by. I am not sure about everyone else, but we have been really really hit hard with snow this past February. We literally had no snow until February when we just got dumped on! I am guessing we have probably gotten a total of at least 100 inches and I am not exaggerating. Thank goodness for one of my retired neighbors who always seems to plow out my driveway before my husband, the kids, and I get home. I am guessing he doesn't have any winter hobbies. Anyways, I think everyone around me is really ready for spring, which is why I am giving away a Rolie Polie of Sweetcakes from Riley Blake. I took pictures from different angles so you could see the majority of the fabrics in it.
Isn't it adorable! To enter the give-away, all you have to do is leave a comment by telling me how many inches of snow you got in the month of February. I will choose a random winner on March 15th, which is when the giveaway will close. This giveaway is only available to United States residents. Don't forget to stop on over to Michelle's website here to visit all the other participants, check out their blogs and enter their give-aways.
Good luck and Happy Quilting!
This giveaway is now closed! Thanks for participating!

I'm not sure how much we ended up getting, but it seemed like a lot! Thanks for the giveaway.
23," too much!
I know we had the blizzard that gave us over 24" in one day! Oh, another of about six....then some dustings until today--which is now March- about 8!
I don't know how much snow we got in February, but it was not all that much! Thank goodness!
We received most of our snow in February too..about 15 " or so..
Zero in SC! I think the last week one day they talked about a chance of snow and I actually saw some but it melted as soon as it hit the ground. lol
mrs(dot)hbraun(at)gmail(dot)com
We had a couple of feet this winter! Fun stuff!
We had zero inches of snow in February -- in fact, we had no snow at all! (There is usually at least a little, but not this year!)
In Boise, we had several days with 3-6" of snow - just enough to make driving annoying. Fortunately we are at a low enough elevation that when the sun comes out, it melts off in a few hours, or at most a few days.
I don't know for sure, but enough so that the piles at the end of the driveway are too tall for me to add more snow to when shoveling.
0 in SC this year. I kinda miss it but not enough to move north!
Although it snowed several times in February, it only amounted to about 6 inches total. At least, that was the case here in the North Georgia mountains.
O inches!!! I live in California :) Thanks for the chance to win
an inch or less - I'm in Arkansas - we did get some in January if that counts.
Zero...nothing stuck this year in Atlanta, much to the disappointment of two little boys I know. No snow days means more sewing time for me, though. ;)
I would guess about 17 inches in February (and seven more yesterday). I am about ready for Spring this year! Thanks for the chance to win your great prize!
Hmmm, probably around 8 or so, not much for Indiana this year...
Zero, zip, nada, zilch. It tried once for about half a minute and the flakes were microscopic.
Not 100 Inches! That's insane! Thanks for a chance to win some really cute fabric!
Sad showing on snow here this year. Maybe half inch or so.
Sadly a big fat "0" now that I've moved to southern Texas
We only had about an inch of snow, thank goodness.
I am unsure of the total fall. I would guess we are somewhere around 6-8". The problem became it never was completely cleared away before another round began. We have had several rounds of ice. I have only drove the old SUV all winter because I didn't want the good car on the road with all the salt. Thanks for the chance to win.
We haven't had any snow this year, but it's been cold. I'd rather be warm and can't wait for the sun to stay out for longer than 20 minutes at a time.
I'm guessing we got 12 to 18 inches total. All within a couple of days. Then it turned hard and crusty. Luckily, it's melting!
I don't know for sure, but I think it was about 6 inches. Not much and it wasn't very wet--crystal like and very easy to blow around. Thanks for the chance!
I think we had one big snow of 15 inches, at least. We just had a few more yesterday, to replace what melted. ;-> Toni Anne
We've had zero inches of snow. I love living in the deep south :-) Thanks for the great giveaway!
We got 4-5 inches of snow.
Your give away is so pretty. I live in western Michigan and I am guessing 24" in February--I don't keep track, I just shovel.
Well, I live in Central Alabama, so we had two days with some light flurries. Nothing really stuck though, so I can't say how much snow there was. Of course, everyone panicked and the schools closed, but hey, it's a big deal when there's snow in Alabama...
We broke a 100 year record with 21 inches from 2 storms in 4 days. This isn't much for you northerners but for south central Kansas it is.
About 15 inches, it's been pretty mild here in PA
We had some wintry weather several times in February here in central North Carolina, but total accumulation was less than 1 inch - had more icy rain than snow. Thanks for the chance to win.
Zero. I am in ca at about 300ft elevation so no snow for me. Thanks for the chance to win.
We received a little over 21" in less than a week. Love living in Missouri!
Oh, that is a tough one - several storms thru Feruary here in the NorEast with melt off inbetween - maybe close to 3 feet? Thank you for hosting.
We are in California so our snow here was nonexistent. However, at our mountain house in Colorado, we had feet upon feet!
Great giveaway! I'm in Iowa and we got more snow in February than the rest of the winter. I'm not sure how much.......9 inches??
I live in Texas, we didn't get any snow last month!
I'm in Georgia and, so far? A big fat zero on snow!
I don't think we got any inches of snow in February -- maybe a dusting or two.
Gosh, February had some snow, maybe fifteen inches or so, nothing like you! Thanks for the chance at your giveaway.
We only got about 6 1/2 inches, we were lucky!
a few flurries is all we got in n.w.georgia
None - thank goodness! Thanks for the giveaway!
Does Ice count we only had snow flurries this Feb but we did have a ice storm that left power lines down and schools out. The trees were beautiful all encased in ice but it melted the very next day. I live in Arkansas
I live in Michigan also in the mid-lower region of the state and probably got around 20-30 inches in February alone. Spring can't come soon enough for me now. Thanks for the giveaway.
We may have gotten 3 inches here in Central IL this year. 100 INCHES! My goodness!
The roll is super yummy! So, did we get snow? NO! Maybe 1/2 an inch total all winter :(
We do live in Oregon so we are used to wet weather, but it was sunny today so that was very nice!
We got a grand total of 'zero'.....love living in the Southwestern part of the USA....I can see snow on the mountains in the distance (which is my favorite way to see it!!!) Thanks for the sweet giveaway :)
Well it may not have been snow to you guys but it was snow to us, we in Phoenix got about a inch or two this year, ok, it was slush but we got it, in February, it was a sight to behold ;) Thank You!
We got 0 inches of snow, but we did go and "visit" the snow in February.
Big fat zero here in Tennessee! I was so disappointed!
We had 0 down here is Key Largo, but what fun it would have been to be able to say a number.
I am not sure how much snow we got but it was probably not as much as you. I am in the Detroit area and I know western MI and up north was much harder hit than we were. Where in MI are you?
I am I. Ohio and we had between 8 to 10 inches. Thnx for a great giveaway!
I am in Utah not sure how much we have but think it was over 1.5 feet. Thanks for the chance to win.
syvisser@gmail(dot)com
I live in northern Wisconsin so you just might be my neighbor. We have had a mild snow winter - Feb only saw about 12 inch of new snow. I'm ready for Spring, though. Your fabrics are perfect for thinking spring - thanks for the chance.
thank you so much for this nice roll of fabrics, I can't tell you how much snow, enough I guess :P
Zero inches in N.E. Georgia. We got some flurries ,but nothing on the ground. I would love to have had about 3 or 4 inches at least.
Thank you so much for your great giveaway.
Thanks for being part of the fun blog hop. Lovely giveaway. Thanks for the chance to win. I would have to just guess, but probably around 20 to 23 inches.
Melissa, no snow at all here, in sunny northern Florida! I used to live on Lake Ontario, in Oswego NY and we would set records almost every year.
We hardly had any snow this whole winter so I would say 2 inches total in February.
I'm guessing probably around 18 or 20 inches totsl but then it all melted pretty quickly after the storms. Thanks for the giveaway, the fabric is super cute!
No snow. We live in Northern California (just outside of San Fran) and it hasn't snowed here in 20 years (according to the neighbors). We're transplants from the east coast and are actually jealous of all the snow back home!
I would say we got about 14 inches of snow in February. Nothing compared to you!
ktreve(at) hotmail (dot) com
None..I live in Austin, TX.
Thanks!

I am not sure the total count but we had about a foot on the lawn at one point.
Richard and Tanya Quilts
We had a lot of snow. My daughter lives in the USA so if I win, the give away could go to her.
In NC we got less than and inch, boo who!
Zero! I live in Florida! Sweet giveaway!
I think about 20 inches - I'm just guessing. thanks!
Less than 1 in February thank goodness!
We received about 18" of snow in February. That's not including the additional 7" we got the day before yesterday!! Thank you sew much for this opportunity to win!
back2loghome (at) yahoo (dot) com
We were very fortunate and probably only got about 2 inches of snow. What a lovely giveaway.
I'm not positive as our snow came in cribs and drabs, but we had at least 4 or 5 inches total. We had the most in March!
We had the majority of the snow in February ... about 25".
We got 2 inches of snow here in NC. We normally get none, so I was quite excited.
We has a lot! Over 40 inches, too much for me,
A big goose egg...of course since I live in FL it is not really surprising. Great giveaway
In our particular part of Oregon we seldom have any snow in February, and this year was no exception. Lots of snow in the mountains though! Your selection of fabrics for the giveaway is wonderfully spring like, and would make a great baby quilt! Thanks for the chance to win.
We didn't get a lot of snow down south in Kentucky where I live...maybe 2-3 inches. Thanks for the lovely giveaway. I'm a new GFC follower, but I wish there was a way for me to follow you by email.
Here in Central Oklahoma, we probably had 1" or less. The northern part of the state got hit a lot harder. That fabric looks pretty cute. Thanks for the giveaway!
We didn't get much in February, maybe 4 inches total. We usually get more.
We didn't get alot of snow this whole Winter...not the norm for Ohio....not sure how much we totaled for February....no more than 10".
Thanks for cool Give-Away! :)
I'm a new follower, and we've had ZERO inches of snow. We usually get a tiny bit each year, just enough to get us excited! Absolutely love the Rolie Polie!!! Thanks so much for the chance to win :)
We Got Zero Inches. ILive In The Florida Pandle But Would Gladly Trade For Some Snow.
Uh snow? in Phx AZ? Actually we DID have some this year but not much & not for long!
Love those jelly rolls.
I'm near Cleveland, and we dodged several large storms recently. The fact that I don't know how much shows it was less than normal this year (sorry!). Many thanks!
ellen(at)myerly(dot)net
We got 30 inches!! C'mon spring! Love your fabrics! E
I think total we got about 8 inches. Not much, but it's been COLD!! So I am ready for Spring.
Well I tried to look up a total amount for February and couldn't find one. We only had a few small storms and what did fall melted quickly. Those are the kind of storms I like!
Ahhh, we don't get snow in my part of Texas so we got zilch, nada, no snow. Thanks for the opportunity to win your giveaway.
I really don't know! We got just a few inches here and there, but no big storms. I am guessing it may have added up to 12", but there was never that much on the ground at once. I am in Central PA, by the way! Thank you for a lovely giveaway!
We didn't get snow in February - and then we got over a foot in March! Go figure!
I can brag that we go zero inchs of snow the entire winter. I live in South Carolina. And where I live at an hour inland we do not get snow. It is a rare occasion indeed for us. Thank you for the chance to enter your giveaway. Those fabrics are fabulous and scream spring and warmer lively times for sure.
I live in Sonora, CA, the foothill, and I would say we have had 8" of snow. We get snow but never that much. I am so ready to win fabric to help chase away those winter blues. Thank you for being a part of this Blog Hop and giving all of us a chance to win.

Sweet Roll! Sunny and warm today in Southern Nevada. Love the springtime here!
Eek, adorable roly poly, thank you!
Not sure our total but last week the storm brough 6 inches. And the rain this week just melted it all away. :(
I would guess at least 24 inches. It seemed like more when shoveling. Thanks for chance to win.
thank you so much for the giveaway-- I don't know how much snow we got(we live in Ohio)but we got more than last year(so mild last year)don't mind the snow this time of year because we know it won't last long

Great giveaway! I love Riley Blake! I couldn't find just Feb snow fall, but so far this winter we have had 27 inches of snow. With more in the forecast!!
We had a great winter. No snow at our house at all in February. 3bakergirlsgo@gmail.com
We didn't get any snow, not even a few flakes! We've had snow on Easter before though so I'm still hopeful. Thank you for the nice giveaway. :)
It snowed 3 inches in the past hour here and they are finally letting school out early. I would be bringing that neighbor vats of homemade soup for being so helpful!
I think we got about 20, mostly all at once! coullmills@gmail.com
I don't know how much we got in Feb. but, we've gotten 62" since the begining of the year and there's more on the way tonight. I'm so ready for spring!
I'm from NY & we had at least a foot, maybe two, but I see that's like nothing compared to most commenters here! What a cute give-away! Thanks! I'm a new follower!
I remember those snow days and shoveling the driveway and sidewalks... I also remember the fresh smell after a snowfall and the beautiful quiet as the snow sparkles in the sun... but no more snow for me, I now live in Florida and we get 0 inches per year...
Hi Melissa! I live in northern/central CA, and we get fog in the winter, and rain, but it only snows here once every 20 years maybe? When it does, everyone stops and runs outside, even though it melts when it hits the ground. Thank goodness for retired neighbors who love to plow the snow for you!! That is so nice of him! I am your newest follower.. what a sweet/yummy prize! xo
we had snow flurries but nothing that really made it to the ground in Feb.
I live in Michigan near Toledo. We didn't get a whole lot of snow this year. Maybe enough to necessitate plowing the drive a couple of times.
I live in southeast Missouri, we got less than
5 inches of snow. Great gveaway! Thanks for the chance to win!
wigglypup2(at)yahoo(dot)com

No snow fell in our little town, that I saw stay, anyway. All around us, it was snowy, but Odessa seems to sit in a little circle of sunshine a lot of the time. The pioneers were wise, to put us here, I think (WA). Of course, year round, it is the driest part of the state....but sunny. Great light for quilting! Thanks for letting us stop by and see your lovely prizes.
No snow for me here is southern California. Thanks for the great giveaway! Have a Happy Day! :)
thanks for the giveaway. We just got a dusting here in NC during Feb.
I live in Georgia. We have not received any snow in February. Thanks for a wonderful giveaway! Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping.....
I hate to disappoint you but I live in coastal SC and we haven't had any snow- all winter. Thanks for participating in the Quilters' Blog Hop Party.
Sadly, no snow here. Growing up in michigan I always thought I hated snow. Who would have thought that I actually miss it!! (Now, I'm sure if I was back in MI, I would quickly be over it!)
We probably got 8-10 total inches of snow in Feb. Thanks for the chance to win
I think we were up around 15" or so? It's snowing right now - boo. :(
Thank you for the chance at the awesome giveaway!
(and your blog is GORGEOUS, by the way! you have a new follower :) )
Oh man, it's so hard to remember which snows were when! We've had at least 20 inches this February, and I know we've had over 60 inches for this winter season. I'm so ready for spring! Thanks for the chance to win!
I think we may have gotten only 7 inches or so. We haven't gotten as much snow as needed. I Love Your Cupcake Fabric! Thanks for this Great Giveaway!
We have zero snow this far south. Last year we actually had some little grains of icy stuff come down, but never snow :(.
Hello! What a wonderful rolie polie for your giveaway.... I live in the southwest desert and we did not get any snow in February - BUT we had a bit in the very beginning of March - which is UNHEARD of... nothing substantial but you would have thought they had found bigfoot with all the news reports and posts on Facebook! I am a new follower of your adorable Blog.
I live in California , so no snow where I live although we did get a light dusting on the surrounding hills. The fabric is darling -- thanks for the generous giveaway!

No real snow here in texas. Thanks for the chance!!!!!
First I have to say the quilt in the header of your blog is just gorgeous. I really love it.
Where I live we got 21.2 inches of snow in February. This was the 5th highest ever total. We got almost half of that just a week ago in one day but it still has a long way to go to reach our highest totals in history because I remember a blizzard in the last 70's where we got just buried. My Dad back then had to take the snowblower onto the roof to get all the snow off because other homes were having their roof cave in from the weight of the snow. I am hoping the March in like a lion and out like a lamb is true this year.
No snow--just rain as I'm in sunny CA!
We got exactly 0 inches of snow in Feb or any month this year:) I live in Central Texas and we do get snow but not very often:)
0 here in SF. Lovely giveaway. Thanks.
Here in NE Ohio(and not in the snow belt), we have not had much snow. Probably less than 10" for the month of Feb. But it has been gray and dreary for it seems like forever! Thank you for participating in the blog hop.
Hi, we had about 10 inches for the month of Feb. but it was always cold and windy always wind. Thanks for a chance to win that beautiful fabric.
We only got about an inch total this year! Very light.
Great giveaway!! Crossing my fingers and toes!!

I live in Michigan too. Not sure the exact amount of snow we got without goggling it but I DO KNOW I am soooo ready for spring. The grey clouds need to go. Thank-you for the wonderful opportunity to win the great fabrics you have shown. I think you made a great choice when you bought them!!!
Mamacrafty(at)hotmail(dot)com
In Maryland/DC area we had around 4 but 2 inches melted in a hour it seemed. Lots of inches, but no staying power :)
We had a couple good storms. Right now if you haven't shoveled recently it blew enough that it gets into your shoes.
No snow in my neck of the woods in the Pacific Northwest. It has just rained & rained & rained some more!
nicolesender(at)yahoo(dot)com
I am in NC. And we have had 2 dustings of snow melted in less than 8 hours. Lots of rain! Thanks for the chance.
I live in kentucky and so far we have had less than an inch. I could not imagine dealing with all the snow you had!! babscorbitt@gmail.com
I'm not sure, but I would guess around 25 inches. We were part of the east coast blizzard.
In our part of Wisconsin it seemed to miss us a lot in the month of February. Maybe 6" total? We've gotten 3x that in the month of March!
ALOT! We had a couple of significant snow storms. But on average, February has about 12" of snow. We had some rain on the weekend, but another dusting of snow last night! Thank you for the opportunity to enter your drawing!
Probably about 10-14 all together...thanks for the chance!
NW Alabama only got a dusting, but that is normal for us.
I'd say ZERO in February (although it could have been a scant inch or two), but last week in March we got 18" here in Virginia! Glad that's over with!
Probably only a couple of inches here in western Ky. But that was alright!
hulseybg at gmail dot com
Zero snow in NW Florida-LOL.
Thanks,
Peggy
